New Report Finds WiMAX Gaining Traction Around the World

WiMAX continues to build momentum in the U.S. with the recent addition of Atlanta and Las Vegas to the Clearwire line-up of citywide 4G wireless broadband networks. Overseas, the technology is growing at a rapid pace according to a new report from Infonetics Research, which concludes that WiMAX is gaining traction in countries such as India, Russia and Brazil. Carriers view WiMAX as a way to provide basic broadband and VoIP-based voice service to huge populations whose needs are not being met by existing technologies. And more importantly, WiMAX is here today!
